Since 1985, Dance Arts Theatre has presented The Nutcracker to thousands of people all over eastern North Carolina. Due to its universal appeal to young and old alike the ballet has become a memorable holiday tradition for many families.

Celebrating its 32nd season, Dance Arts Theatre will present this holiday family family The Nutcracker at Wright Auditorium, ECU, Decemeber 7 & 8, 2024. Net proceeds from the special event will be donated to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to benefit Maynard Children's Hospital at ECU Health and Medical Center in Greenville. Three performances will offer children and their families an opportunity to travel in time on an enchanting journey where Christmas trees grow and toy soldiers come to life.

Kids Helping Kids

Throughout the years. Dance Arts Theatre has contributed $340,000 to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This year, the cast made up of 125 kids will continue that tradition. In the past, the ballet has been made possible by the generous tax-deductible contributions from major corporations, small businesses and individuals. Dance Arts Theatre again asks for your support for this special endeavor. Proceeds will help to support children's health programs and services at Maynard Children's Hospital and throughout the 29 counties it serves. Participating in this wonderful holiday event will allow not only you and your family an opportunity to enjoy the magic of the season, but a time to share this magic with the many children and their families throughout our community and region. This is more than a ballet it is kids helping kids. It is about a community coming together to make a difference.
